Brown & Brown is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Producer to drive new business development, expand market presence, and build long-term client relationships. This role is designed for a proven sales professional with strong benefits expertise, executive-level relationship skills, and the ability to deliver strategic solutions that support client growth, retention, and employee experience.
What You'll Do
· Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to generate new Employee Benefits opportunities and support Profit Center growth objectives.
· Build and maintain relationships with business owners, executives, HR leaders, centers of influence, carrier partners, and community contacts.
· Create and manage a qualified prospect pipeline through networking, referrals, market outreach, and ongoing relationship development.
· Lead consultative conversations with prospective and existing clients to understand workforce needs, benefit priorities, cost drivers, compliance considerations, and long-term objectives.
· Present Employee Benefits strategies, renewal recommendations, stewardship materials, and value-added solutions to key decision-makers.
· Partner with account management, analytics, compliance, carrier relations, marketing, and service teams to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
· Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline data, and client/prospect information in Microsoft Dynamics or other designated CRM tools.
· Stay current on market trends, carrier solutions, legislative updates, compliance developments, and emerging Employee Benefits strategies.
· Represent Brown & Brown through participation in professional, civic, industry, and community organizations that support brand awareness and business development.
· Support a collaborative team environment through knowledge sharing, mentorship, and partnership with Sales Leadership and Profit Center leadership.
What You'll BringRequired Qualifications
· Active Life & Health Insurance License in good standing.
· Proven success in Employee Benefits sales, business development, or benefits consulting.
· Strong understanding of employer-sponsored benefit programs, funding strategies, carrier solutions, and client advisory practices.
· Demonstrated ability to build credibility and relationships with executives, HR leaders, and key client decision-makers.
· Strong prospecting, presentation, negotiation, communication, and consultative selling skills.
· Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
· Ability to travel routinely for client meetings, prospecting activity, networking events, and business development opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
· Established relationships within the local business community, Employee Benefits marketplace, or targeted industry verticals.
· Experience with self-funded plans, compliance resources, population health, voluntary benefits, pharmacy strategies, or total rewards consulting.
· Prior experience using Microsoft Dynamics or another sales management platform.
