To leverage the latest technology advancements, a new team has emerged at the Kansas City Fed to explore technologies and champion experimentation in a consistent manner that will provide value to business lines and technology partners across the System. The Emerging Technology team will help identify and experiment with emerging (or new to the Bank) technology to accelerate the business and IT adoption. The Emerging Technology team will collaborate with various departments and teams across the Bank to better understand their unique challenges and opportunities for integrating innovative technology to support their needs.

Key Activities:

  • Models and champions the Bank’s values; is a steward of the Bank’s strong culture and sets clear expectations for others.   • Manages performance process and communicates clear expectations; engages direct reports in performance, coaching, and development conversations; and provides performance evaluations based on the results achieved against expectations. Leads and develops team(s) to make progress towards positive outcomes and execute on goals and priorities in alignment with the mission and strategy of the organization and business.

  • Contributes perspective to make sound judgments, mitigate risks, influence direction, and manage and lead through change. Builds and applies business area knowledge, expertise, and/or broad perspective to influence and advance organization and business strategy and goals. 

  • Collaborates with leadership colleagues across the organization to develop a shared understanding of people practices, processes, terminology, etc. to ensure a collective employee experience.

  • Builds trust and confidence through positive relationships and effective communication internally and externally.

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires at least 3 or more years in a formal leadership role or relevant informal leadership experiences.

  • Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and assess their potential applications within the business. Proficiency in researching and analyzing technology solutions to identify opportunities for innovation.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or work experience.

  • Kansas City, MO; Omaha, NE; Denver, CO; Oklahoma City, OK

  • Hybrid, 50% of the time.

Pay Range: The starting pay range for this position is $89,300 to $151,600 for the job level(s) required for this position. Final offers are determined by factors including the candidate’s qualifications, internal alignment considerations, district assignment, and geographic location.

Sponsorship: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
