A path for every ambition.

At HUB, we believe the best work happens when people are given real space to grow and then given the autonomy to exercise it. We power progress and protect ambition: for the clients who count on us, and equally for the people who make that possible every day.

We’re creative thinkers and determined doers, guided by values that show up in how we work together: with empathy, adaptability, accountability and a genuine commitment to one another’s success. We foster bold ideas, celebrate curiosity and share what we know. Because when people grow, the work they do grows with them.

Our purpose is deeply human: to help people navigate the world on their terms, at their speed, toward their future. We hold that same commitment to the people building careers here.

Whether you’re starting out or leveling up, you’ll find the resources to evolve, the support to take on more and a team ready to back you at every stage.

Your ambition has a home here.

Here’s Where You Come In

The Emerging Client Account Manager owns and manages a named book of VIP and Emerging tier Private Client Group business, bridging the service model of the PCG Account Executive and the Personal Lines Account Manager. This role is responsible for the full client lifecycle for a segment of clients who fall between our middle market book and our top-tier HNW relationships. The primary goal of this role is to extend the consultative, high-touch standard of service our top 10% of clients currently receive to the VIP and Emerging segments of the Private Client Group book. This role exercises independent professional judgment to interpret policy language, evaluate coverage adequacy, and resolve service issues with minimal day-to-day supervision, while drawing on PCG consultative standards to drive retention and organic growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the primary relationship manager and point of contact for all clients in the assigned VIP and Emerging tier book within Private Client Group, owning the full client lifecycle from onboarding through renewal.
  • Conducts proactive annual account reviews for all clients per book segmentation standards, delivering a detailed insurance summary, identifying coverage gaps, and recommending tailored solutions, consistent with the standard currently applied to our top 10% HNW book.
  • Applies professional judgment to interpret policy language, evaluate coverage adequacy, and resolve service issues with minimal routine escalation.
  • Manages the full renewal lifecycle for assigned accounts, including remarkets and new business issuance, monitoring expirations and coordinating directly with carriers.
  • Reviews new and renewal policies for accuracy in rating, coverage, and documentation. Ensures delivery to the client and proper filing in EPIC.
  • Provides consistent, accurate, and timely communication to clients through verbal and written correspondence, maintaining the consultative tone expected of the Private Client Group.
  • Consults and educates clients on P&C coverages, market conditions, and risk management strategies appropriate to the VIP and Emerging segments.
  • Proactively identifies and pursues cross-sell, upsell, and referral opportunities across all personal lines within the assigned book.
  • Reduces E&O exposure by adhering to agency standards for EPIC activity codes, descriptions, and documentation.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with underwriters to ensure predictable and consistent resolution of identified issues.
  • Utilizes the processing team and carrier service centers per agency procedural standards, exercising judgment on when to handle directly versus delegate.
  • Assesses claims situations and advises clients on the best course of action. Serves as liaison between the client and carrier claims departments to ensure satisfactory resolution.
  • Communicates regularly with PCG leadership and Producers on at-risk accounts and book growth strategy, escalating with a recommended resolution strategy where needed.
  • Supports and mentors less experienced team members as needed, contributing to PCG knowledge-sharing.
  • Maintains active P&C insurance license and actively participates in department meetings.

Cultural Expectations:

  • Determination – unsatisfied until we are the best. We go the extra mile for clients and colleagues.
  • Ownership – Responsible to each other, our clients, and our goals.
  • Teamwork – Together we attain greater success.
  • Sincerity – Giving and receiving direct and caring communication

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in a customer service or account management role, with experience managing a book of business.
  • Previous experience in insurance, financial services, or a related field preferred.
  • Valid Michigan Property/Casualty insurance license.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Superior customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and EPIC.
  • Able to work independently and manage own workflow with minimal oversight.
  • Working understanding of PCG service standards and the ability to apply them to a broader client base.
  • Strong contributor in a team environment.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
