EMEA Indirect Category Manager

Job Purpose:

  • Accountable for all sourcing and contract management across Indirect Categories, including Marketing, Media, Professional /HR Services, Warehousing (Leg C), etc
  • This will include the development and implementation of category strategies; the contracting for master/service/product agreements within the categories; the management of supplier relationships that fall outside of the enterprise SRM structure for these categories; and for ensuring the suppliers key to their category(ies) commit to deliver Haleon’s performance/quality/financial requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement category strategy development for Indirect Spend
  • Implementation of global and Regional Strategies across Business Units and markets
  • Point of Contact and Influence to Global Category Leaders.
  • Lead SRM for key strategic vendors in spend categories
  • Stakeholder alignment and Plan delivery (Commercial leadership and Finance across the business)
  • Key role in Strategy Development and implementation through BU Procurement Leads
  • Contract planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation and maintenance; manages / monitors ongoing negotiations with 3rd parties
  • Work across multiple countries requiring high cultural awareness
  • Champions the sourcing group management process and policies across functions and links these to HALEON's strategic direction
  • Knows and utilises complex business processes in all HALEON supplier transactions, including all risk/regulatory/compliance requirements
  • Implements and supports procurement strategies to maximise supplier leverage
  • Significant external supplier knowledge

Required Education, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement / Business / Finance
  • Significant, relevant experience in procurement.
  • Proven strategy development and implementation skills
  • Proven negotiations and contract management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse data and extract actionable insights
  • Excellence in written and oral communication for effective engagement with Senior Stakeholders and Suppliers.
  • English proficiency (written and oral), other language will be a plus.
  • Leader able to navigate through complex and diverse organisation to drive results, individually and through others.
  • Demonstrated success in collaboration with a wide range of senior leaders across Marketing, Finance, Legal and key suppliers.
