Hyster-Yale Materials Handling is looking for a talented software quality assurance professional with a desire to work closely with our embedded software development teams in the Portland, Oregon area. This global development center designs materials handling solutions for an ever-changing marketplace. Our vision for this new role is a leader who will influence how we develop and validate software, with emphasis on increasing automated testing. The QA Leader works in coordination with development team leaders to define, manage, and improve our software development practices. This role will have direct reports, focused on software validation. Although we primarily develop embedded software, we are open to candidates with related experience outside the embedded world.
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. in a software engineering discipline
4 years of experience in a software leadership role
2 years of experience in a role focused on software quality assurance
Exposure to industry standard quality methodologies
Exposure to Agile SCRUM
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with a CMMI Level 2 organization, or similar
Experience with EN1175 and ISO 13849-1
Experience leading root cause/corrective action activities to improve process
Experience working on or leading a software development team using Agile methods
Experience aligning software deliveries with critical business objectives
