We are currently seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join the Littelfuse R&D Embedded Software Engineering team, focusing on Automotive Sensors. This role offers the flexibility to work in a hybrid mode – partially remotely and otherwise spending your time in our brand new office in Kaunas, Lithuania.

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with well-known automotive OEMs, solving the puzzles for the next generation of vehicles and trying to achieve the highest quality with the shortest time to market. To achieve that we have a handy set of tools in our toolbox that you will be able to use:

  • git-based repos with maintained CI pipelines is our backbone,

  • industry-standard tools for automated unit tests and static code analysis, hardware-in-the-loop testing

  • simple and straightforward daily task management with Jira and Confluence,

  • model-based design toolchain,

  • some of the latest generative AI-based tools as well.

About the job:
  • Design and develop embedded software for small-to-medium-size microcontrollers, test it and prepare reports

  • Process new product requirements, define software specifications on what we are going to build

  • Work in accordance to state-of-the-art automotive quality standards and improve our processes on-the-go

  • Produce and administer technical documentation

  • Apply best coding practices, foster an Agile mindset

About you:
  • At least 2 years of embedded software development experience in C language for various microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex, Microchip, NXP)

  • Able to read and understand hardware schematics,  able to work with basic electronics laboratory equipment (scope, logic analyzer).

  • Team player with excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills

  • Experienced in technical English (written and spoken)

  • Knowledge of ASPICE  and ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) is a plus

  • A growth mindset with a "can do" attitude and a keen eagerness to learn

The salary range for this position is 3500 EUR gross – 4500 EUR gross per month but the final offer will depend on the experience and competencies of the selected candidate.
