To strengthen our development team located in Wietmarschen-Lohne, Osnabrück or Enschede offering flexible working hours and the option for home office we are looking for a

Embedded Linux Software Engineer (C++/STM32, Python, FPGA) (all genders welcome)

In this position, you will become part of our Electronics & Embedded Systems technology division and, from within the Embedded Software department, you will primarily support our Water Line Integrity Solutions business unit. Your work will focus on developing advanced technologies to monitor and ensure the integrity of water pipeline networks. In doing so, you help to use the limited resource of water more efficiently and make an important contribution to sustainability and environmental protection.

What you can expect
  • You develop and optimize software for embedded systems based on STM32 microcontrollers using modern C++

  • You design, implement and integrate low-level functions, hardware-related interfaces and sensor drivers (e.g. via I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet)

  • You plan, execute and document tests for the functions and components you develop, and your results flow directly into the further improvement of our systems

  • You support the creation of technical concepts, assess their feasibility and accompany their implementation

  • You work closely together with adjacent departments such as electronics development, system integration and product development

Areas in which you can deepen your expertise

  • You integrate existing FPGA components on the software side, independently develop FPGA IP cores (VHDL) and define data paths

  • You design and implement system services, interfaces and background processes in Python on Linux-based SoCs

  • You contribute to system integration across the entire platform – from the microcontroller up to the Linux-based target system

What you bring

To become part of the Rosenxt family, you convince us with an independent, responsible way of working, flexibility and strong team skills. In addition, you bring

  • At least 3 years of professional experience or solid practical expertise in embedded software development with modern C++ on microcontrollers or SoCs

  • Confident handling of low-level development (driver development, communication stacks such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet)

  • A good understanding of microcontroller and system architectures

  • Experience with structured testing and technical documentation in everyday development work

  • Experience with agile software development methods, ideally working in a Scrum team

  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, with the ambition to contribute your expertise and to further develop solutions together with the team

Additional skills that are an advantage

  • Good knowledge of Python for embedded Linux applications and system services

  • Experience with embedded Linux systems, for example Yocto, and typical DevOps tools in the embedded context such as Git, CI/CD or container-based build environments

  • Experience with FPGAs (e.g. AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera), whether initial hands-on experience on the integration level or in-depth VHDL knowledge and independent FPGA design – both levels are welcome

Look forward to
  • Development opportunities and career opportunities in a global, innovative and long-term oriented group of companies with family character

  • Flexible working time, working time accounts and Home Office possible

  • An open,  informal corporate culture, where we celebrate success with social events

  • Compatibility of work and family through our company-owned day care center

  • Employer funded pension, capital accumulation benefits and discounted insurance offers (occupational disability insurance and other direct insurance policies)

  • Company Restaurant and fresh fruit daily

  • Various in-house sports activities (EGYM Wellpass and other offers)

  • Attractive leasing offers for IT-products and bikes for private use

  • Discounted charging facilities for electric vehicles directly at the company location

  • Corporate Benefits - employee offers in changing online shops at top conditions
