Email Designer
Role Description:
Hiscox is looking for an experienced email designer, responsible for creating visually stunning and effective emails that engage our B2C and B2B customers. As a member of our creative team, you’ll report to the Associate Creative Director and work alongside our CRM marketing team to ideate, design, and build email templates that meet the needs of our lifecycle campaigns with an eye toward best practices to drive delivery and conversion.
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:

An email designer with proven, hands-on experience in creating email designs to deliver engagement and drive conversion

An expert in email design best practices, including designing for direct response, ADA compliance, and technical specifications

An analytical marketer who is able to develop a testing roadmap and use data and analysis to test and iterate on design

A team player who can work collaboratively in a matrix organization
What You’ll Do:

Design and create visually appealing and effective email templates and campaigns that align with our brand and business objectives

Collaborate with the marketing team to understand the target audience and create email designs that are targeted for our B2C and B2B customers.

Ensure all email designs are mobile-responsive and compatible with various email clients, devices, and ADA compliance (dark mode).

Stay up to date with design trends, email best practices, and new technologies to continuously improve email designs and performance.

Work with the deployment teams to implement email designs and troubleshoot any issues that arise

Monitor and analyze email campaign metrics to optimize future campaigns.

Manage email design projects from start to finish, including planning, designing, testing, and deployment.

Collaborate with Associate Creative Director and stakeholders to ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels.

Approach design from a user-centered perspective and work projects within schedule requirements

Create modular designs that will be easy for the marketing automation team to use

Partner with team to follow email best practices and CANSPAM compliance
Qualifications:
-
Must provide a link to portfolio (include password) or provide PDF samples
-
5+ years’ experience designing email within a Marketing Automation Platform (MAP) or Email Service Provider (ESP), e.g., Eloqua, HubSpot, etc. – We use Eloqua but are happy to train you if you’re experienced in another platform

Proficient in HTML and CSS

Highly skilled with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator as must)

Experience using email testing platforms, such as Litmus, a plus

Strong knowledge of email marketing best practices

Able to create responsive designs

Experience in coding for various email clients

Ability to troubleshoot rendering issues

Attention to detail and pixel-perfect design

Understanding of email design limitations

Strong communication skills and team player attitude

Salary Range: $90,000-$110,000
This position is hybrid and requires 2 days in office per week based either out of our Atlanta, GA (Sandy Springs/Dunwoody area) or Manhattan, NYC locations.
