The RoleThe ELEVATE Accounting Advisor partners with automotive repair clients to assess, improve, and standardize accounting, financial management, and operational processes. As a trusted advisor and project lead, this role helps clients understand their financial performance, identify process gaps, implement best practices, and execute client-specific action plans that drive measurable business outcomes.
This role combines hands-on client engagement, accounting expertise, process optimization, KPI analysis, training, and ongoing performance management. The ELEVATE Accounting Advisor will work directly with clients to evaluate current-state workflows, review financial statements and accounting practices, recommend future-state improvements, and support sustained adoption of standard operating procedures and business best practices.
This position requires the ability to travel to client sites across the United States, with travel expectations of up to 75%.


 

Key Responsibilities:Client Engagement & Financial Process Assessment
  • Travel to customer sites to conduct accounting, financial, and operational process reviews.
  • Assess and document current-state workflows related to accounting processes, financial reporting, revenue capture, receivables, payables, budgeting, and operational performance.
  • Review client use of accounting systems such as QuickBooks or other platforms to identify opportunities for improved accuracy, consistency, and visibility.
  • Evaluate how clients structure and use their chart of accounts, including account categories, reporting alignment, and management visibility.
  • Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities across accounting and business operations.
  • Facilitate interactive readouts of findings, helping clients understand the gap between current-state performance and desired future-state outcomes.
Accounting Advisory & Financial Analysis
  • Analyze and explain key financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Help clients understand sales and revenue recognition methods and how those methods impact reporting accuracy and business decision-making.
  • Review accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to identify opportunities to improve cash flow, collections, vendor payment discipline, and financial controls.
  • Support clients in interpreting financial results and connecting financial performance to operational behaviors.
  • Provide guidance on budgeting and forecasting practices to help clients improve planning, accountability, and business visibility.
  • Translate financial concepts into clear, practical recommendations for shop owners, leadership teams, and operational managers.
Solution Design & Implementation
  • Develop and document optimized future-state accounting and operational processes aligned with business best practices and ELEVATE program objectives.
  • Create client-specific project plans, including timelines, milestones, owners, and success metrics.
  • Establish clear goals and performance targets by functional area, role, and process.
  • Deliver and manage monthly action plans to drive progress against defined objectives.
  • Support implementation of standard operating procedures that improve financial visibility, process consistency, accountability, and sustained performance.
Performance Management & Client Delivery
  • Monitor client progress through regular analysis, reporting, and KPI tracking.
  • Lead monthly insight and action meetings with clients to review performance, financial results, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities.
  • Use data-driven insights to help clients prioritize actions, measure progress, and sustain improvements.
  • Conduct web-based and on-site training sessions to support process adoption, financial understanding, and operational execution.
  • Drive adoption and utilization of relevant CCC solutions and business tools that support client performance and visibility.
Stakeholder Communication & Coordination
  • Communicate project status, risks, key findings, and recommendations to internal account teams, ELEVATE leadership, and client stakeholders.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure alignment on client goals, project priorities, financial improvement opportunities, and business outcomes.
  • Manage and resolve implementation-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Present financial and operational insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Continuous Improvement & Documentation
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate outcomes and identify ongoing improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain ELEVATE accounting materials, including playbooks, current/future-state workflows, action plans, training resources, and client-facing deliverables.
  • Support customer retention and renewal through sustained performance improvement, value realization, and ongoing advisory engagement.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of ELEVATE accounting advisory standards, tools, templates, and best practices.


     

    Requirements:Experience & Skills
    • Experience in accounting, finance, business advisory, consulting, or operational improvement.
    • Strong understanding of chart of accounts structure, accounting system workflows, sales and revenue recognition, financial statements, profit and loss, balance sheets, cash flow, accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, and forecasting.
    • Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting systems preferred.
    • Automotive, collision repair, insurance, or related industry experience strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and operational data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
    • Experience developing and executing project plans, action plans, and strategic initiatives.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence change and drive adoption within client organizations.

    • Ability to facilitate productive discussions with shop owners, leadership teams, accounting staff, and operational managers.
    Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, OneNote, Teams, and Adobe.
    • CCC ONE experience preferred.
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus.
    • Experience using accounting systems, financial reports, spreadsheets, and KPI dashboards to support business analysis and recommendations.
    Additional Requirements
    • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%.
    • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client locations nationwide.
    • Ability to work independently with clients while maintaining strong alignment with internal account teams and ELEVATE leadership.
