The Engineering Navigation Sensors & Solutions is a growing business area developing the next generation of advanced military navigation systems. The team is seeking a full time, on-site experienced technician to support our GPS team. In this position you will partner with engineering to provide expertise and innovative solutions that support the engineering process. Electronics technicians provide, resources, and support with many of the hands on technical tasks associated with engineering.
- You will be asked to perform a variety of highly complex technical tasks which requires the understanding of electronics theory.
- You must be able to perform as a member of a highly technical team with good communication skills and be able to make good judgement calls.
- You will be expected to be able to operate automated test equipment as well as various other pieces test equipment within the lab.
- You may be called upon to help determine what equipment we need for capital purchases.
- It's expected that you will help mentor less experienced technicians
- This role requires you to be able to work off of rough blueprints and schematics.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- 3+ years of experience working in an engineering lab environment or a 2-year degree in the field of electronics.
- Or a certified electronics technician
- Must have a working knowledge of electronics lab test equipment.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Troubleshoot/repair electronics down to component level.
- Experience in manual and automated testing.
- Familiar with different software tools used for circuit evaluation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Modify engineering designs and products.
- Experience with a variety of circuit designs: RF, Digital, Power Supplies.
- Experience reading schematics.
- Experience with a variety of test equipment: Oscilloscopes, Multi meters, power supplies, Signal Generators, Network analyzers, etc.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $58839 - $94143
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
