Join Us at the Forefront of Quantum Computing Innovation 🚀

At the heart of our Assembly & Production team, you will oversee the full lifecycle of electronic boards — from requirements gathering through integration, validation, and ongoing operational maintenance. You will act as the interface between the systems, opto-electronics, software, and integration teams.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • 1. Electronic Board Management & Development
    • Design and develop electronic boards using Altium Designer (schematics, component selection, routing)
    • Gather requirements and contribute to writing technical specifications
    • Manage hardware versions, component obsolescence, and manufacturability improvements
    • Coordinate board integration within Quandela’s product
    • Produce the documentation associated to each electronic board
  • 2. Associated Software Development
    • Develop and maintain embedded firmware on microcontrollers
    • Develop Python scripts for equipment control, configuration, and validation
    • Ensure consistency across hardware, firmware, and software evolutions
    • Produce documentation required for integration and maintenance
  • 3. Configuration Management & Traceability
    • Manage versions of boards, firmwares, and associated software tools
    • Ensure traceability of configurations deployed in each system
    • Maintain technical documentation and manufacturing files
    • Guarantee availability of the correct versions for integration and production teams
  • 4. Validation & Production Transfer
    • Define validation strategies and implement test protocols
    • Contribute to the definition and evolution of test benches
    • Ensure every new board is fully documented and production-ready before transfer
    • Collaborate with teams to guarantee maintainability of developments

Requirements
  • Engineering degree or Master's in electronics / embedded systems
  • + 5 years of experience in electronic development or systems integration
  • Analog and digital electronic design

Nice to have

  • Automated test bench development
  • Communication protocols
  • Linux environments
  • Git
  • Component obsolescence management
  • Complex hardware/software systems integration

You will succeed in this role if, you are rigorous, well-organized, equally comfortable in a hands-on lab environment and in producing documentation, with a natural ability to bridge development, integration, and production.
