Responsibilities

Support the e-Commerce activities of BMD by building and leveraging relationships with internal and external customers including, but not limited to: EDI Operations Processing Schedule. Monitor automatic EDI scheduled processes for completion, including daily incoming & outgoing EDI transmissions. Ensure prompt EDI processing by performing system table and list adjustments, cross-references and branch assignments. Generate and process forms that are not auto processed. Track and resolve EDI trading partner acknowledgments & communication. Distribute processing output to departments and individuals on schedule & properly archive work product. Monitor EDI Support mail folder. Resolve EDI issues and takes ownership of issues in assigned areas. Promptly and proactively identify and escalate next level issues to other EDI team members or manager. Continually track & commicate EDI issues and outcomes to end users and EDI team. Maintain shared coverage of the support mail folder when other EDI staff are not available. Assist BMD customers and suppliers (trading partners), branch and division administrative & accounting personnel, buyers, sales representatives, department managers and other personnel utilizing work product produced by EDI processing. Be the EDI processing subject matter expert. Gather system and EDI information to identify root cause of processing issues and end-user challenges and propose and implement solutions. Collaborate with BMD personnel to identify new time saving EDI processes. Monitor EDI scheduled and manual processes; act to resolve exception reports.  May assist with EDI processing scheduling and maintaining & adding new trading partners.  Work with trading partners in synchronizing item data. Produce and disseminate statistical reports. Maintain UPC and I2of5 assignments for the division & test new release of ERP software. Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: College Degree or equivalent work experience in related job function. Working conditions are an office environment with minimal physical exertion.

Preferred Qualifications: Typically more than three (3) years of experience in related job function. May require professional certification.
