About the Opportunity

Solaris Energy Infrastructure is seeking a seasoned Electrical Project Engineer to support the daily application engineering efforts of our rental and sales operations. The ideal candidate brings 10–15 years of hands-on field experience, a proven safety record, and the ability to work directly with customers and staff on the safe, effective operation of our equipment. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring the flexibility to travel domestically and internationally with little advance notice.

 

Essential Functions

  • Support the daily application engineering efforts of the rental and sales operations teams.
  • Provide hands-on field support for the commissioning, startup, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical power generation and rental equipment.
  • Serve as a technical resource to customers and internal staff on the safe and proper operation of Solaris equipment.
  • Interact directly with customers to evaluate application requirements and recommend equipment solutions.
  • Travel domestically and internationally, often with little or no advance notice, to support field operations and customer sites.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on power generation and rental equipment in the field.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to translate customer requirements into effective equipment applications.
  • Maintain a proven, consistent commitment to safety across all field activities.

Qualifications

Experience/Education

  • 10–15+ years of hands-on field experience as an Electrical Field Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, Emergency Power Plant Engineer, Electrical Power Engineer, or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred; equivalent hands-on field experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience commissioning, operating, and troubleshooting electrical power generation or distribution equipment.
  • Proven, verifiable safety record in a field engineering environment.
  • Experience supporting rental and/or sales operations in an application engineering capacity preferred.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally without restriction.
