What you will do:
- Design complex electrical, controls, and communication equipment and systems to provide automation for water/wastewater industry projects
- Interpret customer specifications and plans and translate them into a defined engineering scope and deliverables.
- Complete all phases of the engineering process to ensure accurate and timely completion of manufacturing drawings.
- Develop detailed engineering documentation including single-line and three-line diagrams, panel elevations, general arrangements, and wiring schematics.
- Lead and mentor engineering and designer teams to convert engineering concepts into working schematics.
- Responsible for Engineering schedule, including the on-time release of equipment specifications, bills of materials, and customer documentation.
- Support the Project Manager to address technical concerns with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide engineering expertise/support during estimation, sales, manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning, and operations.
- Provide technical direction, serve as a point of contact or business liaison, prepare briefings for senior management and assist in problem resolution specific to the program/project.
- Review Tesco’s design tools, procedures, and processes and ensure engineering deliverables are compliant to design standards.
Background/Experience:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in electrical, controls design, and analyzing automation systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience in a regulated industry is preferred
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) preferred
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering design principles and methodologies.
- Working and current knowledge of codes and industry standards.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) and Adobe Acrobat.
- knowledge of AutoCAD/ AutoCAD Electrical.
- Ability to read and understand schematics
- Attend formal training programs related to the field to help develop new skills or improve existing skills.
- Ability to understand and design all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery.
- Understanding of manufacturing workflow, including planning activities.
- Self-motivated, ability to work autonomously and manage workloads to meet assigned deadlines.
