We are seeking an Electrical Integration Engineer to support electrical design, integration, testing, and production activities for power generation equipment. This role works closely with engineering, production, electricians, supervisors, and customers to ensure electrical systems are properly designed, installed, tested, and ready for shipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and train electricians on schematic reading, electrical installation, testing, and labeling.
- Work with Sales Engineers on electrical designs, proposals, and specifications while ensuring NEC code compliance.
- Inspect and test completed units using product drawings and specifications; identify and correct defects before shipment.
- Provide technical guidance on the design and layout of electrical components and control systems.
- Train employees on safe equipment operation, proper work practices, and electrical procedures.
- Develop and coordinate cross-training for production employees on electrical products and processes.
- Perform electrical load calculations and other standard electrical computations.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, layouts, and specifications.
- Develop electrical drawings and Bills of Material (BOMs) and specify required equipment.
- Review third-party electrical materials and coordinate requirements to ensure projects are ready for completion.
- Assist with identifying and resolving electrical discrepancies before equipment ships.
- Use electrical test equipment to perform functional and indication testing and basic programming of displays, sensors, and HMIs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience involving electrical equipment design, installation, and testing.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and blueprints.
- Experience designing and building control panels for basic electro-mechanical systems.
- Proficiency with electrical test equipment and methods, including multimeters, ammeters, and functional testing.
- Understanding of AC/DC electricity and electrical theory.
- Knowledge of the current National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Strong understanding of power generation equipment, including generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, and conduit systems.
- Experience with electronic controls, power generation, or fuel system integration is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide professional support to coworkers and customers.
- Team-oriented approach with strong collaboration skills.
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
- Some travel to job sites may be required.
