ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, analyze, build, and test electronic hardware to be used in the area of mining proximity and safety products, including schematic creation and PCB layout.
- Take ownership in each product’s lifecycle (design, production, field evaluation, upgrades and improvements)
- Witness firsthand product use in the field and refine as necessary
- Evaluate and integrate new sensor technologies (RF, magnetic, acoustic, visual (camera with ability to run AI model), accelerometer, GPS, and more)Support contract manufacturers in the areas of part obsolescence and part substitutions.
- Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
Education and/or Experience
- Requires Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands on electronic design and development.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Must have PCB layout and design experience.
- Experience with Altium is preferred.
- Experience designing analog circuits.
Experience in radio development or electromagnetic fields are a plus. - Experience with standard electronic test equipment including logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and multimeters.
Must have strong analytical and decision making skills. - Must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and ability to build and maintain key relationships.
- Desire to learn new technologies.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
