- Conduct the design and development of electrical systems, including MV and LV power distribution and control systems.
- Design of digital and analogue controlled systems (PLC and SCADA control)
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to create and review technical drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software.
- Conduct calculations and simulations to evaluate system performance and optimize designs.
- Participate in the testing and validation of electrical components and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations and project specific requirements.
- Develop project documentation, including specifications, reports, and user manuals.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control issues during projects and for aftermarket support and recommend solutions to improve system reliability.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, project managers, and clients, to meet project requirements and timelines.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical, control and instrumentation engineering.
- Design or be part of, develop, test, and supervise the manufacture, Factory acceptance testing, installation and Site acceptance testing and handover of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Travel to various customer sites for site meetings, commissioning, verify installations, audits and inspections.
- Assist with costing and tendering of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- QC/QA of Electrical and Instrumentation components and installations
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- PR Eng registration or working toward registration
- 5 years + relevant experience within the Bulk Materials Handling Equipment environment.
- Solid understanding of electrical and control and instrumentation engineering principles and practices.
- Proven experience with CAD software creating EC&I drawings.
- Proven experience with electrical design software and simulation tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- PR Eng registration or working toward registration
