Key Accountabilities
- Design and develop motor drive inverters for Hybrid and Electric Vehicle systems
- Ensure products meet all customers and internal electrical requirements
- Develop hardware concept and circuit block, select electronics components, design the schematic and support ECAD engineer with layout design.
- Find root cause and corrective action to any electrical design related issues
- Apply engineering CAD/CAE tools to perform design analysis and evaluation
- Verify and validate designs on bench and in vehicle as necessary
- Support module level validation
- Follow engineering design process and product release procedures
- Provide technical support to manufacturing during pilot run and production start-up
- Participate in new product development with others as a team player
Key Competencies
- Bachelor or above degree in electrical, electronic, Automation, Automotive engineering
- At least 3 years work experience of electronics design, automotive electrical module design experience preferred.
- Experienced in High voltage/ Large current electrical system design, IGBT or MOSFET application and driving method
- Experienced in micro-controller system design, Analog and digital circuit design
- Be familiar with PCB layout design and low emission layout guideline
- Very strong experience in WCCA, Circuit simulation
- Understanding magnetic part design or simulation is preferred
- Know EMC technology for Inverter/Converter product
- Be familiar with automotive electronics methodology like Functional Safety, DFMEA, 8D...
- English reading/writing is a must, fluent oral English is preferred.
