The Brunswick Boat Group Tech Center is responsible for product development of the biggest names in the boat industry. We Proudly design and engineer Boston Whaler and Sea Ray alongside many other brands recognized the world over for innovation and quality.

Position Overview:
Brunswick Boat Group Technology Center (BBGTC) is looking to hire an Electrical Engineer Intern to support the development activities associated with research and development at our facility in Edgewater, Florida. Students will be provided with a hands-on learning experience giving an accurate view into the field of electrical engineering. You will apply your classroom techniques and theories to real world engineering projects.

Essential Functions:
Assist Engineers in the development and execution of new product ideas into technically innovative manufacturable products. Products must comply/exceed all industry, government and regulations, internal quality standards and specifications.
Help Engineers complete tasks to support target schedules, as well as maintain awareness of the entire project schedule to ensure company product availability goals are met.
Assist Engineers in developing electrical components, electrical panels, wiring harnesses and electrical systems within established cost targets to support company profitability goals.
Develop and create new product ideas in the form of 2D drawings and 3D solid or surface models.
Communicate and consult with equipment and component suppliers during design and to resolve technical issues.
Perform technical evaluations, testing and generate reports if needed.
Provide integration, issues resolution and troubleshooting support to manufacturing.
Generate documentation to support manufacturing including but not limited to construction drawings and process work instructions.
Generate systems related engineering changes (ECNs.)
Support manufacturing and customer service on issues resolution as needed.
This internship will be a full-time commitment from May to August 2027
Internship Projects to include:
3D modeling of electrical harness routings and creation of 2D harness specifications on new and current Boston Whaler, Sea Ray or Navan boat brands.
Generating engineering changes (ECNs) to release into production new or improved electrical components, electrical panels, wiring harnesses and/or electrical systems changes.
Install, test and troubleshoot AC/DC electrical circuits, components or systems to ensure proper operation as needed.
Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.
Required Qualifications:
Computer Aided Design experience: Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Catia or Pro E preferred. 3-D modeling skills desirable.
Boating, fishing and/or marine industry knowledge are desirable.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States immediately, without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline required. A minimum of two years completed is preferred.
US Coast Guard safe boating course preferred
Boat handling experience preferred
Boating, fishing and/or marine industry experience is beneficial but not required.
Good interpersonal skills

Project Work: The work environment is supportive, collaborative, and conducive to learning. Student co-ops or interns typically work on specific projects or tasks that contribute to the organization’s goals. This may range from supporting larger projects to handling smaller, individual assignments.
Hours: Co-ops and Interns are expected to work a full 40-hour work week
Feedback and Performance Reviews: As a co-op or intern, you will receive feedback and performance reviews throughout your assignment. We value the importance for interns to understand their progress and areas for improvement.
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $27.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will vary depending on multiple factors including year in school/credits earned, degree, job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
