The Electrical Engineer at the Carlisle Campus is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, commissioning, startup, and closeout of small- to large-scale capital and major maintenance projects. This role provides technical expertise to Maintenance, Production, Operations, Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), and plant leadership to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment, process, and control system issues. The position requires a strong understanding of industrial power distribution, machinery controls, and both electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
This position operates primarily Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with less than 10% travel. Occasional additional hours, alternate shifts, and travel may be required to support equipment commissioning, troubleshooting, project execution, training, factory acceptance testing, and technical collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Manage capital and major maintenance projects, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
- Coordinate contractors and maintenance personnel during project implementation.
- Troubleshoot and optimize process equipment, power systems, and control systems.
- Design and improve machine control systems using modern hardware and software platforms while ensuring compliance with safety standards and code requirements.
- Maintain and enhance process control systems, production networks, and data collection systems.
- Monitor plant power distribution systems and support annual maintenance planning.
- Utilize SAP maintenance data to support equipment reliability and root cause analysis.
- Provide technical training and support to plant personnel.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of three years of industrial/manufacturing controls engineering experience.
- Proficiency with Rockwell Automation software and Allen-Bradley hardware.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, industrial communication protocols, PID control loops, NEC standards, power distribution systems, AutoCAD Electrical, and data communication protocols.
