Your Responsibilities
At John Deere's Construction & Forestry (C&F) division in Dubuque, IA our Electrical Engineer - Design and Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) will lead, plan, and develop verification plans for electrical components, sub-systems, & systems. You will execute test or analysis plans for product verification and validation.
In addition you will:• Support requirements development and design for electronic components and electrical systems• Lead Electrical PV&V activities for construction machine platforms, ensuring electrical activities and plans are formulated and followed• Provide problem solving of electrical issues on new product development and current production• Work with electronic suppliers to ensure component interface and quality meet John Deere needs• Participate in print reviews and design reviews for new products

What Skills You Need• 1+ year of previous electrical engineering experience which may include internships or personal projects• Demonstrated problem solving skills• Strong communication skills• Strong organization and workload planning skills
What Makes You Stand Out• Previous electrical engineering experience performing analysis, testing and/or design work• Experience in the automotive/heavy on-road/off-road industries• Knowledge of electrical components such as batteries, starters, alternators, rocker switches, relays, solenoids, sensors, actuators, controllers, and connectors• Experience performing environmental verification testing and resolving issues• Experience performing EMC testing and issue resolution• Knowledge of electrical wire harness circuits and routing• Experience writing functional, performance, and durability requirements• Experience working with suppliers in the application of electrical components• Familiarity with operating Construction, Forestry, or Ag off-road equipment• CAN, USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth communications experience
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent such as Engineering Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Engineering
