Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an experienced Equipment Quality Analyst (EQA) Electrical Component Failure Analyst to join our Equipment Quality Analysis (EQA) team located in Seattle, Washington.
The EQA Team performs failure analysis of airplane electrical components, systems and mechanical, hydraulics components. An ideal candidate will be skilled in evaluating systems-related problems, working within a testing environment, have strong technical report writing skills, and experience engaging with cross-functional groups.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Electrical Component Failure Analysts.
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform failure analysis of airplane electrical, electronic and electrical-mechanical components and systems, to determine root cause and corrective action
- Experience in other technical disciplines is helpful
- Emphasis on bench testing skills, technical evaluation, analytical reasoning and report writing
- Maintain a working knowledge of airplane components, related systems and supporting technical documentation is recommended
- Develop or create test methods to replicate failure modes
- Lead technical analysis teams comprised of suppliers, Boeing quality, engineering personnel, manufacturing, airline representatives and regulatory representatives
- Prepare formal technical reports of investigations and results for internal and/or external customers
- Provide technical reports of investigations for legal documentation and/or dissemination to regulatory agencies
- Willing and able to travel 10% of the time
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience with bench testing and troubleshooting airplane electronic components
- 1+ years of experience writing technical reports
- Must be able to travel 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Level 4 - 5+ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of excellent customer interface dealing with technical investigations
- Experience collaborating with other technical teams, engineering and testing labs for root cause failure analysis
- Experience working with customers in production, engineering departments, airline industry and regulatory agencies

Summary pay range (Level 4) - $119,000 - $161,000
