To primary purpose will be working to support the Automation Engineering team with the design, development, commissioning, and support of industrial machinery and control systems. This role will work under a Electrical & Automation Manager and assist with electrical and automation tasks across machine build, testing, customer deployment and support.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Assist with electrical and automation system development
- Support PLC and HMI programming of new machine builds
- Assist with electrical design documentation and updates
- Support machine commissioning and troubleshooting
- Provide technical support during machine builds, site installations & customer support
- Contribute to continuous machine improvements
- Build and maintain clear technical documentation
WHAT WE VALUE
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and develop in an automation engineering role
- Exposure to commissioning or site-based work
- Hands on Electrical Experience
WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or similar
- Qualified Electrician with industrial machinery experience
- Basic understanding of industrial automation systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Exposure to PLC-based control systems (Rockwell/ Allen Bradley)
- Experience working with industrial machinery
- Experience in manufacturing environments

Skills Required
- 0 - 4 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment or similar field
- Education in Electrical, Mechanical, CS&E, Controls/Automation Engineering or related technical field
- Electrical Code training or other safety training seminars and courses
- Knowledge of plant power distribution, control systems, and PLCs
- Good project management, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to use a personal computer and office suite software
- Ability to use measuring devices, read mechanical/electrical drawings, and develop charts and schedules
- CAD skills
