Bilingual Electoral Canvasser
Position Summary
MF Professional Services (MFPS) is seeking Bilingual Electoral Canvassers to support voter outreach and mobilization efforts on behalf of its clients, including Mi Familia Vota (MFV) and Mi Familia en Acción (MFA).
Electoral Canvassers engage directly with voters in Latino communities through door-to-door canvassing, community outreach, voter education, voter registration, and Get Out the Vote (GOTV) activities. This position will also participate in an AI technology pilot designed to support field outreach and operations.
Fluency in English and Spanish is required. This is a temporary position.
Key Responsibilities

Canvass assigned neighborhoods, businesses, community locations, and public events.

Communicate effectively with community members in English and Spanish.

Engage voters using approved scripts, talking points, and campaign materials.

Educate community members about voting, voter registration, voting by mail, and other approved electoral information.

Support voter identification, registration, engagement, and GOTV activities.

Accurately collect and record voter-contact information and canvassing results.

Use VAN, MiniVAN, mobile applications, AI-supported tools, and other approved outreach technology.

Participate in the organization’s AI pilot program, including required training, testing, feedback, and proper use of assigned technology.

Follow assigned turf, schedules, goals, check-in procedures, and reporting requirements.

Protect voter information and voter-registration materials.

Follow all voter-registration, data-security, safety, technology, and organizational procedures.

Collaborate effectively with canvassers, leads, managers, and other team members.

Participate in required trainings, briefings, coaching, and team activities.
Qualifications

Fluency in English and Spanish required.

Strong technology skills and the ability to quickly learn and use smartphones, tablets, mobile applications, AI-supported tools, and other digital platforms.

Willingness and ability to participate in an AI technology pilot and provide feedback on the tools used.

Previous canvassing, campaign, voter-registration, community outreach, organizing, customer service, sales, or other public-facing experience preferred.

Strong communication, active-listening, and interpersonal skills.

Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working directly with the public.

Ability to follow scripts, instructions, data-security requirements, and reporting procedures accurately.

Strong team-player mindset and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced field environment.

Experience working with Latino or diverse communities preferred.

Ability to work flexible daytime, evening, and Saturday schedules.
Work Environment
This is a field-based position requiring frequent walking and outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Employees may work in residential neighborhoods, businesses, community locations, public spaces, and events.
No specific degree is required. Relevant community, campaign, outreach, technology, and lived experience will be considered.

- Previous canvassing, voter-registration, campaign, community outreach, customer service, organizing, sales, or public-facing experience
- Experience working with Latino or other diverse communities
- Experience using voter-contact databases or mobile canvassing applications
- Professional proficiency in English and Spanish
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
