Position Summary
MF Professional Services (MFPS) is seeking Bilingual Electoral Canvassers to support voter outreach and mobilization efforts on behalf of its clients, including Mi Familia Vota (MFV) and Mi Familia en Acción (MFA).
Electoral Canvassers engage directly with voters in Latino communities through door-to-door canvassing, community outreach, voter education, voter registration, and Get Out the Vote (GOTV) activities. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively in both Spanish and English.
Canvassers will also participate in an AI technology pilot designed to support outreach activities, data collection, and field operations. Candidates must be comfortable learning and using new technology, following established protocols, and providing constructive feedback about their experience with the pilot.
This is a temporary position.
Key Responsibilities

Canvass assigned neighborhoods, businesses, community locations, and public events.

Engage voters using approved scripts, talking points, and campaign materials.

Communicate clearly and professionally with community members in Spanish and English.

Educate community members about voting, voter registration, voting by mail, and other approved electoral information.

Support voter identification, registration, engagement, and GOTV activities.

Accurately collect and record voter-contact information and canvassing results.

Use VAN, MiniVAN, mobile applications, AI-enabled tools, and other approved outreach technology.

Participate in the organization’s AI pilot, complete required technology training, follow established protocols, and provide feedback about the tools.

Review information generated or supported by technology for accuracy and immediately report errors or concerns.

Protect voter information and never enter confidential or sensitive information into an unauthorized system.

Follow assigned turf, schedules, goals, check-in procedures, and reporting requirements.

Collaborate effectively with canvassers, team leads, supervisors, and other staff.

Contribute to a positive, respectful, and supportive team environment.

Share relevant field updates and communicate promptly when assistance is needed.

Follow all voter-registration, data-security, safety, and organizational procedures.

Participate in required training, briefings, coaching sessions, and team activities.
Qualifications

Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English required.

Comfortable using technology and learning new digital tools, including AI-enabled applications.

Ability to use a smartphone, tablet, mobile canvassing application, and other approved field technology.

Ability to follow technology protocols, verify information, identify potential errors, and protect confidential data.

Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Ability to receive coaching, communicate respectfully, and contribute positively to shared team goals.

Previous canvassing, campaign, voter-registration, community outreach, organizing, customer service, sales, or other public-facing experience preferred.

Work Environment
This is a field-based position requiring frequent walking and outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Employees may work in residential neighborhoods, businesses, community locations, public spaces, and events.
No specific degree is required. Relevant community, campaign, outreach, technology, and lived experience will be considered.

- Experience working with Latino or other diverse communities.
- Experience using voter-contact databases, mobile canvassing applications, or similar outreach technology.
- Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Meet all jurisdiction-specific eligibility, appointment, training, and certification requirements for voter-registration activities.
- Ability to work up to 30 hours weekly, including flexible daytime, evening, and Saturday schedules.
- Ability to travel throughout assigned communities and field locations and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry outreach materials weighing less than 25 pounds.
