Role Summary/Purpose
GE Aviation is looking for a Computer Science student to work with local GEIQ Business Solutions Team, generating and facilitating digital web-based solutions to fulfill Engineering, Operations and Finances teams’ needs.
Essential Responsibilities
· Generate Software and Data solutions (dashboards)
· Business specific web application development and maintenance
· Collaborate with development team to optimize applications performance and improve software quality.
· Apply principles for Software Engineering and Agile/Scrum methodologies to deliver highly reliable and scalable solutions
· Project management of assigned tasks
· Project documentation
Qualifications/Requirements
· Studying bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or related fields with minimum 1 year before graduating.
· Knowledge of Full Stack Web Development Languages and Frameworks (HTML5, JS, CSS3, Angular, Node.js)
· Familiarity in Version Control Systems
· Scripting and Automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
· Strong SQL Knowledge
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
· Manage multiple tasks with ability to prioritize activities and promptly raise blocking issues
· Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish
