Ericsson is looking for an Environment, Health & Safety Subject Matter Expert (EHS SME) to join our central Market Area Europe, Middle East & Africa (MEMA) EHS Region Western Europe (WEU) and South Europe & Eurasia (SEE) Organization and deliver EHS support in Ukraine & Eurasia countries.
What you will do
• Ensure compliance with regards to local Ukraine & Eurasia EHS regulations and Ericsson Global & MEMA instructions;• Provide business driven EHS technical expertise to various stakeholders including, but not limited to, the leadership team, managers, employees, operations, real estate services, sourcing, R&D and human resources;• Be acquainted with Global and MEMA EHS requirements and develop local strategies to be communicated and deployed into the local ways of working for all business areas, including projects. Follow-up with the business areas to support the implementation of those requirements;• Monitor, control and report performance against targets and provide points of escalation;• Be the main point of contact between the central MEMA EHS organization and the operational EHS organization that needs to deploy EHS requirements on projects;• Identify EHS deficiencies at the management system level and follow-up to closure;• Support incident investigation, root cause analysis and follow-up to closure corrective action plans.
The skills you will bring
• Minimum bachelor's degree and/or recognized formal Environmental and/or OHS qualification e.g. degree or diploma (Example: Post Grad / Degree and MSc in Environment and/or OHS Management or NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or another recognized certification);• Minimum working experience of 5 years in an EHS role;• Good understanding of Ukraine & Eurasia EHS regulations;• Experience in the development and review of policy, procedures, instructions, and plans;• Knowledge in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001;• Knowledge in incident investigations techniques and analysis;• Experience in EHS contractor management;• Experience in detail with EHS analytics (e.g. EHS reporting & KPIs);• Experience within a multinational organization, preferably in the telecom sector;• Pragmatic approach to find business-oriented solutions;• Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally;• Translate needs of stakeholders into actions;• Persuading, negotiation & influencing;• Language requirements: English, Ukrainian, Russian;• Ability to travel between Ukraine & Eurasia and occasionally across the region.
The position will be based in Kiev, Ukraine.
