Job title: EHS Specialist (Permanent)

The role:
As an EHS Specialist, you will help drive our goals by:
Liaising with external parties as advised / required by EHS Manager on compliance with legal permits and other requirements. (Energy Commission & Department of Environment)
Ensure Environmental aspect and impact analysis has been carried out with significant impacts identified and control measures agreed
Responsible for development, implementation and maintenance of Environmental and Energy Management system as per ISO14001/ ISO50001
Responsible for Environmental Management & Sustainability program and activities such as energy conservation program, schedule waste, effluent water treatment, spill control, as assigned under EHS responsibilities
Responsible for Plant Safety & Emergency Equipment Inspection so as to ensure compliance with local legal requirements
Responsible on the establishment and implementation of the Emergency Management System e.g. Emergency Response Plan, Fire Drill, Spill Kit/ Equipment inspection & maintenance etc.
Responsible in ensuring legal compliances for scheduled waste management on packaging, disposal, labelling and storage as per Department of Environment (DOE) requirements and legal documents such as Consignment Notes and Waste Cards are in place.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
Degree Holder with 3-5 Years of experience, preferably in Environmental Management, Energy Management and Sustainability.
Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Wastes Management (CEPSWaM) is highly desirable
Able to conduct high quality and detailed Risk Assessment e.g. HIRARC and Process Safety Risk Assessment e.g. HAZOP Study, PSSR, LOPA etc.
Able to conduct high quality Incident Reporting and Investigation including the root cause analysis (RCA) and Human Factor Analysis.
Competent Forklift Driver is preferred
Experience in EHS Management System particularly in Environmental & Sustainability, Occupational Safety & Health and Emergency Response Plan (minimum 3 years)
