Job Description

EHS Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing work on implementing and maintaining the requirements of Polish law and the requirements of corporate procedures in the field of EHS;
  • Consulting and presenting proposals including technical and organizational changes to improve working conditions, safety and environmental protection;
  • Participation in the implementation of new technological processes;
  • Advice on the organization and methods of work at workplaces where there are hazardous factors, harmful to health or burdensome conditions, as well as advice on the selection of appropriate collective and individual protective equipment;
  • Conducting inspections, observing working conditions and supervising compliance with EHS regulations and principles;
  • Carrying out periodic analyzes of the safety status in the workplace;
  • Participation in the commissioning of newly built or modernized facilities, processes and devices affecting the safety, environmental protection and working conditions of employees;
  • Developing and updating risk assessments at workplaces;
  • Preparing EHS instructions;
  • Proper completion and storage of EHS documents;
  • Giving opinions on process and job instructions, and instructions for organizing safe work
  • Preparing and maintaining registers, analyses, statistics and reports resulting from the requirements of Polish law and corporate requirements;
  • Coordinating and conducting EHS trainings resulting from Polish law and corporate requirements;
  • Conducting post-accident proceedings related to accidents at work and near-miss incidents based on legal and corporate requirements;
  • Cooperation with relevant institutions (PIP, PIS) in order to comply with regulations and principles of occupational health and safety, improve working conditions, etc.;
  • Creating a creative approach to building and maintaining a culture of safe work and a culture of sustainable development;
  • Participation in the development of modernization and investment plans;
  • Participation in global good practice groups in the field of e.g. ergonomic solutions, hand safety during mechanical and transport work, etc.
  • Ongoing cooperation with other departments/functions/locations in the field of EHS.
  • Ongoing cooperation within the EHS Department of Rockwell Automation Polska, including support in Warsaw office.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position preferred in a manufacturing company,
  • Higher education in the field or completed postgraduate studies in the field of occupational health and safety,
  • Very good knowledge of legal regulations in the field of health and safety and environmental protection as well as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards,
  • Communicative knowledge of English,
  • Good knowledge of MS Office,
  • Communication skills and ability to work in a team as well as organizational skills,
  • Independence and problem-solving attitude.
