  • OSHA 30 hours certification, General or Construction Industry. At least 5 years on the pharmaceutical industry preferably with experience on Engineering, Manufacturing and EHS.

  • Bilingual (Spanish and English).
  • Able to work with multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Experience in:
    • Environmental health and safety roles within industrial, construction, or project-based environments.
    • Strong understanding of Environmental and Safety programs, including current regulations, industry standards, and applicable permits.
    • Proficiency in conducting trend analysis and implementing continuous improvement plans related to EHS.
    • daily project meetings and EHS-related forums.

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)

  • Participate in daily meetings/forums.
  • Participate in change control/events meetings.
  • Manage change controls to ensure implementation steps are completed on time and in compliance with requirements.
  • Conduct daily visits and inspections to the project to oversight of compliance with environmental and safety requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of Environmental and Safety programs, related regulations, standards and permits.
  • Report immediately any event of the assigned projects.
  • Serve as primary EHS contact for the project.
  • Be a resource to the project in helping them understand the requirements of the EHS programs, and work with the project team implementing solutions that comply with regulations and EHS programs.
  • Ensure compliance with the contractor safety program.
  • Conduct periodic visits and inspections to the project to ensure compliance with EHS programs.
  • Work and facilitate execution of EHS requirements, implementation steps and event reduction.
  • Participate in EHS event investigations.
  • Identify areas to improve, suggest alternatives and work as a team with the project and the EHS site to implement the improvements.
  • Conduct trend analysis, provide recommendations, and help the project team to develop a plan accordingly for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS requirements during asset installation and operational verification.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS requirements for completion of project.
  • Ensure troubleshooting and operational start up complies with EHS programs and requirements.
  • Revise task plans and oversight the operational testing and troubleshooting to ensure safe execution.
  • Perform qualitative exposure assessments.
