The Job:
As an EHS Regional Manager, Latin America, you’ll be part of our Global EH&S team working in a hybrid capacity. You will provide leadership and technical expertise to directly support multiple sites within the Latin America region. This role partners with site leadership teams to ensure EHS compliance programs and procedures are developed, functioning, and sustained in conformance with SBD policies and legal requirements. The manager also ensures effective implementation of the SBD EHS Management System, with a focus on risk mitigation, effective controls, and continuous improvement across the LAG region to meet or exceed regulatory requirements and corporate standards.

- Work closely with the Corporate EHS team and all regional sites, applying strong EHS skills in a global, culturally diverse environment and acting as a business partner to key stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and interpretation of SBD requirements and verify alignment with organizational priorities in support of company-wide EHS strategies.
- Oversee compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations through regular internal and external audits, proactive risk assessments, and structured incident investigations—including root cause analysis, and effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Directly engage in the selection and development of EHS talent, including onboarding and on-the-job training and coaching, to foster high engagement, retention, and professional growth.
- Build and maintain effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, promoting collaboration and a culture of safety through risk mitigation and on-time closure of corrective actions, program evaluation, and annual resource budget planning as shared EHS goals.
- Manage multiple sites and initiatives simultaneously, prioritizing effectively and maintaining a structured, proactive, and organized approach to all EHS activities.
- Provide timely, clear communication and visibility to leadership on incidents, leading indicator performance metrics, compliance status, and emerging concerns.
- Drive sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives, supporting sites in achieving goals such as Zero Waste to Landfill, energy and water conservation, and audit readiness.
- Utilize data analysis and statistical tools to ensure data integrity, monitor EHS performance, and develop/report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop and maintain strong proficiency in the use of SBD Processes, Standard Work, and Tools, including the EHS Data Management Platform, to provide reliable customer and technical support to site teams.
- Stay current on regional and global regulatory changes, providing guidance and training to site teams as needed.
- Support special projects, programs, and strategic initiatives as assigned.
The Person:

- Bachelor’s degree in EHS Management, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in occupational safety, health, and environmental management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with the ability to lead others.
- Demonstrated experience managing EHS programs across multiple countries or regions, with knowledge of regulatory nuances.
- Proven track record of driving compliance, risk reduction, and sustainability initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global matrixed organization.
- Regional exposure to multi-country regulatory nuances.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required; Portuguese strongly preferred.
