The EHS Operations Lead is responsible for coordinating Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and compliance activities to support a safe and healthy work environment. This role serves as a lead resource for EHS initiatives, partnering with operations and members to promote safety, reduce risk, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support EHS programs, policies, and compliance initiatives.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns, recommending corrective actions.
- Facilitate safety training, onboarding, and awareness programs for members.
- Maintain EHS records, documentation, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Monitor safety performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with operational leaders to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Lead EHS projects and continuous improvement efforts.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for EHS-related questions and best practices.
- Support emergency preparedness and response activities.
- 5+ years of EHS, safety, or related operational experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and EHS compliance requirements.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership in driving safety initiatives and promoting accountability across teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS reporting systems.
