The Role:
Our new Manufacturing Center of Excellence site in Colorado Springs is seeking a full-time EH&S Manager to support Phase 1 of a 3-phase construction project. Phase 1 is a 130,000-sf state of the art manufacturing facility which is in its final stages of construction. The Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Manager is responsible for all aspects of final construction, equipment and people move-in, manufacturing start up and, in the development, implementation, and execution of all aspects of EHS programs and procedures. They will continuously assess EH&S performance through audits and inspections, against Entegris local and global policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
This role is a member of the Divisional EHS team and will report directly to the Division Sr. EH&S Business Partner and work closely with site leaders, employees and contractors.
As an EHS resource for the site, this position will play a critical role in establishing and reinforcing a proactive culture to create an injury free work environment, promote new initiatives, and achieve industry best performance. This position is a key member of the site Safety Leadership Team (SLT) as well as numerous EHS Sub-Committees.
What You’ll Do:

Be part of the site team to ensure a safe and smooth startup of 2 production lines;

Responsible for assisting with development, implementation, and periodic review/updates of EHS programs and training;

Assignment Complexity – Demonstrates proactive measures and implements immediate and effective corrective actions to eliminate safety hazards. Interacts with site management to direct and implement effective policies and procedures. Demonstrates effective problem-solving ability;

Accountability/Discretion – Will be responsible for implementing EH&S policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws, regulations, rules and best management practices. Position will have the discretion to shut down equipment, tools, projects when there is an imminent hazard to the health and well-being of employees, and to protect company property and the environment;

Working Relationships - Demonstrates effective communication and develops working relationships with site management, front line supervision, as well as, other employees;

Scope – Understands and appropriately reinforces company strategy as related to EH&S compliance, program implementation at the site level, and the skill to protect workers from recognized workplace hazards.
What We Seek:
-
Minimum of 6 years of EH&S experience in an industrial environment where there was a strong emphasis on health & safety, or a B.S. in Environmental Science, Health and Safety, engineering, or Applied Sciences degree;

Knowledge of state and federal EH&S regulations, industry standards and best management practices pertaining to occupational health & safety;

Good interpersonal skills; ability to quickly develop effective relationships throughout the company;

Comfortable with leading training sessions in person;

Ability to work with people in a culturally diverse work environment;

Ability to communicate effectively, both on a written and oral basis;

Ability to use a computer, email, video conference tools and office software;

High level of personal initiative, care for the well-being of others and the natural environment;

Good communication skills (written, oral and presentation);
-
Demonstrates a high level of teamwork and ownership.
Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
-
Manufacturing experience is a plus;
-
Knowledge and experience of CDPHE / EPA environmental regulations to include hazardous and non-hazardous materials management, universal waste management, spill prevention, control, and countermeasures and more;

Knowledge and experience managing various OSHA programs such as ergonomics, lock out / tag out, machine guarding, fall prevention and protection, emergency preparedness and response, HAZMAT team training and leadership, hazard communication, laser safety, overhead crane, management of change, process safety management (PSM) and more.

Salary in the $115,000K-125,000K/year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
