Provides focused technical expertise to promote workplace and product safety by identifying and monitoring potential hazards to people or property in areas such as machine safety and electrical safety. Reviews and recommends content of health and safety policies and programs. Provides content to emergency response plans and participates on emergency response team. Implements and provides training on health and safety policies and programs developed for a site to assure that workplace conditions comply with all local government and company requirements. Develops and implements an internal audit process for the site. Facilitates compliance audits, assists management in conducting risk assessments, and participates on health and safety teams. Conducts hazard assessments, determines root causes, recommends solutions to identified hazards, designs and implements solutions. Reviews new regulations from outside agencies and new Johnson and Johnson worldwide environmental health and safety policies and procedures against current site programs and practices for gaps and/or. Participates as the lead health and safety representative in external audits and inspections by local government agencies.
Broad Function:
The responsibilities of this position including following tasks lead by EHS manager:
Principal Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and organize the risk identification and assessment of all operations in company
- assist departments to develop risk mitigation plan (for example JSA) based on the risk assessment.
- Evaluate the training needs and develop yearly training plan (including drill plan)
- Organize and deliver training based on the yearly plan (including emergency training and drills)
- Participate in accident investigation, follow up and supervise the completion of corrective measures.
- Promote EHS culture to involve other departments staff participant EHS activities and events.
- Be responsible for contractor safety management, including contractor training, site supervision and work permit approval etc.,
- Make sure all environmental hazardous being identified and compliance with local environmental protection laws and regulations
- Make sure all hazardous waste treatment devices are in good condition by cooperating with FM including WWTP, Genset hazardous gas treatment device etc.,
- Periodically conduct safety inspections throughout the facilities and improve the non-conformance findings to prevent injury/illness accident or other non-compliance issues
- Partner with regional and Global EH&S, Office and Road safety team to achieve J&J Global/Regional/Campus EH&S target and continuously improve the program at site level assigned by EHS manager
- Timely submit relevant corporate or government reports
- Report to line manager any abnormal/non-compliance issue timely
- Other tasks being assigned by EHS manager
