Job Summary
The Educator is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs to support the ongoing professional development of nursing staff and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role collaborates with clinical and administrative leadership to assess educational needs and develop initiatives that align with organizational goals and standards.
Essential Functions
- Develops and delivers evidence-based educational programs, workshops, and in-services to meet the learning needs of staff.
- Conducts needs assessments to identify educational gaps and evaluates the effectiveness of educational interventions.
- Serves as a resource and mentor for clinical staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborates with department leaders to ensure orientation and training programs are aligned with department-specific and organizational requirements.
- Facilitates competency-based education and training to ensure staff are proficient in current clinical practices and technologies.
- Participates in the development and revision of policies and procedures related to clinical education and practice standards.

Skills Required
- 2-4 years of clinical nursing experience
- 1-3 years of nursing education or staff development experience
- RN state licensure and/or compact state licensure
- NPD Nursing Professional Development certification
