About the Role:
The Education
Specialist plays a crucial role within the CARES (Comprehensive Assessment
Reporting and Evaluation for Schools) team at Educational Initiatives. Working
alongside content developers, software engineers, and product experts, the
Education Specialist develops curriculum-aligned assessments that measure
student learning and understanding across diverse school contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop
curriculum-aligned assessment items and test papers for Mathematics across
various grade levels
- Create, review, and
quality-check assessment content for accuracy, clarity, alignment to curriculum
standards, pedagogical soundness, and to ensure assessments accurately measure
conceptual understanding, application skills, and learning outcomes.
- Align assessment
content with different curricula used by schools (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards,
International curricula, etc.).
- Analyze assessment
performance data to identify learning trends, common misconceptions, and areas
requiring intervention.
- Coordinate with the
field team to understand specific assessment needs and timelines.
- Stay updated on
curriculum changes, examination patterns, educational standards, and assessment
best practices.
- Participate in
cross-functional team meetings to ensure seamless product development and
delivery.
- Contribute to
continuous improvement of the CARES assessment platform.
- Manage small projects & meet deadlines.
Requirements
Must Have :
- Strong
subject knowledge in Mathematics across middle and high school levels.
- Strong attention to
detail and quality focus.
- Ability to manage tight timelines and work under
pressure.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mathematics
- 0-5
years experience in education, Assessments or educational research
- Willing to relocate to Bangalore and work from office 3 days a week.
