Job Summary:

The Department of Radiology, University of Wisconsin - Madison School of Medicine & Public Health is seeking an Education Coordinator to join our Education team! This position will work closely with our Assistant Director of Education and Education faculty leadership in the administration of our ACGME-accredited training programs within the Department of Radiology. The most important traits for the successful candidate will be an interest in supporting medical education and a close eye for details. If this is you, we hope you apply!

  • This position is full or part-time, 50%-100%
  • This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
  • The work schedule is flexible and will be determined at the time of hire.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintains accurate records of the curriculum, evaluations, and participation
  • Orients department and affiliate site coordinators and teaching faculty to curriculum, policies, and logistics
  • Serves as resource to advise learners of program/institutional policies and procedures
  • May manage the unit budget and approve unit expenditures
  • Serves as the primary contact for the program, liaising with those directly associated with the program, institutional offices, and affiliated teaching sites, in and out of the state of Wisconsin
  • Contributes to the design, development and implementation of curriculum, evaluations and both computer-based and performance-based assessments
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of accreditation program requirements, regulatory requirements, and hospital/clinical setting and program policies to ensure accreditation and compliance with regulatory bodies and pertinent policies
  • Schedules evaluations, assessments, and teaching sessions, and creates and maintains the academic year calendar and/or clinical rotation schedules

Compensation:

The starting salary for the position is $60,000; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Effective July 1, 2024, the U.S. Department of Labor Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requires that positions earning less than $43,888 annually be considered non-exempt under FLSA provisions for overtime. Based on these rules, if the person selected for this recruitment will earn less than the new salary threshold at July 1, 2024 ($43,888 annually), they will be an academic staff non-exempt employee, will be paid hourly and will receive overtime compensation for any hours worked over 40 in a workweek. 

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of full-time, professional work experience in an administrative or academic setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in graduate medical education or other relevant professional fields by time of start date.
  • Background in administrative support for medical professionals and/or trainees
  • Familiarity with UW Health Enterprise software (Oracle, QGenda, etc)
  • Background in schedule coordination
Education:

Bachelors Degree preferred
