Scope:

EDI Support Specialist is responsible for daily aspects of internal EDI processing and order flow through company’s IT systems. This includes tasks related to order import/export/modification and handling routing requests and Help Desk tickets. Requirements will involve deep understanding of company processes and operations and will include communication with Sales, OPS, Purchasing and Financial departments. The person in this position will utilize Transact-SQL (extensively) and EDI mapping experience. On average 80% of daily time is dedicated to routine tasks and 20% might be related to development or process improvements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Follow established procedures to process inbound and outbound EDI documents. Importing and exporting them from our ERP, WMS and other Systems
  • Perform monitoring of automated EDI uploads. Take corrective actions when necessary
  • Perform manual EDI uploads
  • Perform unit and functional testing for new integrations and work closely with the other members of the EDI team during setup and testing phase
  • Perform a variety of support requests as per documentation
  • Provide support for Digital order flow and related tasks
  • Responsible for operational documentation on EDI processing and user manuals
  • Communicate system problems, resource needs, and project status to EDI Manager
  • Responsible for testing on Dynamics GP and WMS related projects and requests
  • Track EDI usage, communicate and coordinate EDI transfer issues with Customer Service. Work closely with Trading Partners and Technical contacts to resolve EDI related issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fluent with complex SQL Server queries using Transact SQL and programming using SQL Server Management Studio
  • Knowledge of electronic data exchange concepts including standard X12 EDI formats (850, 855, 856, 810 etc.) and XML
  • Basic knowledge of EDI mapping, maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Desired Experience: OpenText (Liaison) ECS/Delta EDI translator, Microsoft Dynamics GP
  • Ability to handle high volume of transactions and requests, meet project deadline and work in fast pacing environment
  • Strong customer service skills and teamwork orientation coupled with enthusiasm, energy, and self-motivation to work independently
  • Experience with C#, .NET, VBA and MS Visual Studio is an asset
  • Familiar with Software Development Life Cycle
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent testing and documentation skills
  • Good knowledge of problem and incident management process
