(Ecosystem) Senior Frontend Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Frontend Engineer to take ownership of building the production-ready user interface for FinTech PaaS management platform. This is a foundational role requiring deep expertise in Angular, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to define architecture from the ground up.

You will be working closely with architects, product managers, and a backend-focused engineering team to deliver a modular, secure, and reliable user experience for banks and financial institutions.

We expect you to bring innovation, solid experience and support our team and whole Backbase in building the world's best FinTech IPaaS.

• Greenfield Development: Design, build, and deploy the entire frontend for the PaaS solution using Angular and TypeScript
• Work against an ambitious timeline in order to achieve a production-ready first release.
• Modularity & Reusability: Establish a robust, component-based architecture for high modularity and reusability across all application sections (Login, Status, Configuration, Dashboards, Visual Editor) and future FinTech projects.
• Complex UI Implementation: Implement core application features, including:

• Secure Login
• Robust Status Page.
• Complex Configuration Management forms.
• A sophisticated Visual Editor for defining integration workflows.
• Integration of Embedded Dashboards by securely consuming and displaying metrics from 3rd party observability ( such as Grafana Cloud or Datadog).
• Integration with AI Agents for better user experience

• Implementation of access and permissions based on RBAC/ABAC, integration with Identity and Access Management Systems
• Security & Reliability by Design: Apply best practices for frontend security (e.g., input validation, secure data transmission, authentication) appropriate for a financial domain application.
• Azure Deployment: Configure the application for smooth CI/CD and deployment onto the Azure cloud environment.

• Build responsive web applications using Angular and TypeScript that are clean, testable, secure, reliable and easily maintainable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Take full ownership of the Customer Support capability throughout its lifecycle, embodying a "you build it, you own it" mindset.

• You are a software engineer with 6+ years relevant experience, with a focus on building scalable, resilient, and accessible user-friendly web experiences.
• 6+ yrs building and co-architecting complex products
• You are familiar with the “secure by design” approach and threat modelling. 
• You are an expert with proven practical experience in modern frontend frameworks like Angular and React. You understand their core architectural principles (patterns, tradeoffs)
• You know how to integrate with IAM and implement RBAC
• You have significant experience in testing frameworks including Jest, Cypress, and Playwright
• You have a strong understanding of reactive programming with RxJS.
• Experience with observability, open telemetry and metrics. Knowledge of Prometheus is a plus
• Strong enterprise software design/test automation, SDLC automation skills (Github Actions)
• You have strong communication skills, enabling you to confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels and secure buy-in from both technical leads and team members
• You are passionate about embracing AI/ML tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, and Windsurf, and you enjoy shaping the product or platform’s functionality with AI
• Experience with Fintech products or the banking industry is a plus.
• Experience working as a fullstack engineer is a plus
