About The Position
The Economic Development Analyst supports the implementation of the economic development program designed to attract, expand, and retain industrial/large commercial customers to the Ameren service territory. The position will develop inter-departmental and cross functional processes to standardize functions, guarantee efficiency and provide consistent delivery of quality outputs to achieve operational excellence. The position will also be responsible for economic development strategies and customer insights to assist with Ameren Missouri's department goals and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Utilize technology software systems in support of economic development activities and coordinate the dissemination of resource information on such programs. Such programs include but are not limited to the Salesforce CRM system, synchronistic customer retention software, LASSO, and Location One Information Systems (LOIS).
- Coordinate the planning of department media placements in concert with internal partners and committees and implement the placement of said media schedule in accordance with plan and budget.
- Support department on compilation of service area industrial sites/buildings, community profiles and specific industries for use in supporting outreach activity to industrial prospects and target markets for business attraction efforts.
- Responsible for the creation of communication tools including online newsletters, webinars and website profiles aimed at economic development partners to enhance community understanding of Ameren economic development programs and to affect positive implementation of such programs at the local and regional level.
- Support the department in the preparation of business proposals, presentations, and technical data compilation. Assist in the management and tracking of business leads and compile aggregate data on project results.
- Support department’s budget objectives by assisting with processing of invoices, coordination of contribution payments, record retention and administration of budget documents in concert with department management team. Provide additional support as needed to function leadership.
- Serve as department lead for all reporting and dashboard information to maintain consistent message across the organization.
- Generates reports and/or datasets for end users, using system tools, databases, and scripts. May alter deliverables based on evolving business needs.
- Designs and develops methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze data to generate actionable insights.
- Integrates data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements.
- Develops analytics solutions to business problems and works with stakeholders on understanding those solutions by leveraging data, dashboards, and/or models when communicating recommendations for business decisions.
- Complete other assignments as required by leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required, preferably in Finance, Economics, Marketing, Business or related field. Additional technical coursework in various software systems and corporate policies is preferred. Three or more years of experience in customer and/or community engagement fields preferred. Experience in business development and community development practices is preferred.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Ability to demonstrate excellent communication (written/oral) and interpersonal skills; Ability to speak effectively to others; Strong analytical skills with proficiency in computer applications, database management, and demographic analysis; Professional approach to duties. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Compensation Range:
$71,100.00 - $110,200.00At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
