Performs mechanical engineering studies, designs, specifications, construction support, inspections, and commissioning for natural gas turbine generation projects. Complete a structured Engineering Representative training program and pass exams. Handle customer calls and emails to gather project details, initiate and engineer standard electric, gas, and lighting designs, and document non-standard requests. Participate in quality monitoring, maintain customer and cross-department relationships, support team workload, and help train new employees.

Leads customer intelligence and integration across Ameren Missouri’s customer energy solutions portfolio. Translates customer, market, operational, and program insights into recommendations that improve program design, engagement, communications, customer experience, and business performance. Coordinates cross-functional initiatives, aligns customer journeys and messaging, evaluates growth and innovation opportunities, monitors effectiveness metrics, and supports portfolio priorities across electrification, demand-side management, distributed energy resources, grid modernization, and emerging technologies.

Leads Ameren Missouri’s combined-cycle power generation project from development through commissioning. Owns safety, quality, cost, schedule, scope, risk, contracts, regulatory coordination, staffing, change management, procurement, and executive reporting across three CCGT units. Directs internal teams, contractors, engineers, constructors, and equipment manufacturers while ensuring compliance with company, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

Leads Ameren Missouri’s demand response programs and implementation contractors across the full lifecycle, from regulatory filings and program design through operational launch, budget management, and performance attainment. Develops portfolio strategies, regulatory and operational frameworks, and continuous customer-experience improvements. Presents program results to regulators and stakeholders, supports Commission approvals and expert testimony, manages contracts, and mentors team members while applying extensive demand-side management regulatory expertise.

Maintains and supports substation and relay maintenance databases, ensuring accurate records, drawings, and documentation for NERC, FERC, and SERC compliance. Reviews construction and maintenance packages, updates relay and Maximo records, supports data transfers between databases and field personnel, and provides schematics and database information for field projects and troubleshooting.

The senior level leads complex investigations, cross-functional initiatives, regulatory interpretation, mentoring, and presentations to senior leadership. The role is field-based, requires territory travel, and supports storm restoration and emergency response activities.

Develops and executes integrated internal and external communications strategies, campaigns, messaging, and presentations. Provides strategic counsel to leadership and business stakeholders, coordinates cross-functional communications planning, manages projects, identifies content gaps, and measures campaign effectiveness. The role also researches communications trends, optimizes channels, and ensures consistent messaging across the enterprise.

Design, develop, implement, integrate, and support a hybrid cloud and on-premise Distributed Energy Resource Management System. Configure environments, integrate utility technologies, collaborate with business units and vendors, document system designs and procedures, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, provide off-hours operational support, and deliver enhancements that improve distributed energy resource integration and electric grid optimization.

The intern will correlate weather information with outage and operational data, enhance dashboards and AI capabilities, research forecasting technologies, and participate in emergency exercises, after-action reviews, and continuous improvement projects.

The intern will develop analytical and economic models, assist with team activities, complete a key project, and present results to executives. This is a full-time hybrid internship in St. Louis from January through August 2027.
