Join our team as a Carpenter and help insulate homes with Octopus Energy ECO! 🐙
We're excited to connect with amazing people based across Durham, Newcastle, Darlington, York or Teeside! If you're based in one of these areas, we’d love to hear from you. You will be based out of our Newton Aycliffe warehouse where you will be required to collect materials from & manage your van stock on a day-to-day basis. We also have offices in Sheffield & Nottingham (more on the horizon).
Here at Octopus Energy ECO, we’re responsible for delivering the government mandated ECO scheme. We are passionate about helping vulnerable customers of lower-income by improving the insulation in their homes, to help reduce their bills and carbon emissions. We work with an internal and external supply chain insulating customer homes across the UK within the compliance rules of the ECO scheme.
What you'll do
- Work as part of a two-person team, installing insulation (IWI) in customers' homes.
- Gain new skills in fitting wall insulation inside homes
- Collaborate with Electricians and Heating Engineers to deliver energy-efficient homes.
- Troubleshoot and offer solutions to overcome obstacles.
- Ensure exceptional customer service—no home left without delivering on our promises.
- Work out of our warehouses in Newton Aycliffe, Sheffield & Nottingham.
- Travel across the UK with nights away, when required.
What you'll need
- Experience in all types of Carpentry.
- A full clean driving licence.
- Plastering or boarding
- Installing trickle vents, drilling core holes for extractor fans, and previously installing solid wall insulation (IWI).
- Familiarity with ECO is a plus!
