About the Position
We are looking for a coordinator to help our Early Careers Partnerships & Initiatives (ECPI) team implement and grow our pre-university engagement strategy across multiple global regions.
At Jane Street, hiring the right people is of paramount importance to our business. We have developed a dynamic recruitment strategy to hand-select nearly 3,000 employees from the world’s best and brightest talent. Our team’s ability to find amazing people — and identify them at early stages of their careers — has played a key role in helping Jane Street become one of the most innovative high-tech trading firms in the world.
In this role, you will work alongside our seasoned team members to strategically engage talent within the pre-university STEM space. Your day-to-day work will include coordinating and executing events with our existing partners, including bespoke in-person and virtual events, as well as conducting extensive research and fielding new opportunities that align with our wider campus recruitment strategy.
Our ability to get the little things right is what drives our recruiting success. The right candidate for this position will be highly organized with excellent attention to detail, and eager to go the extra mile and conduct comprehensive research to better understand the landscape. You should also be comfortable managing several projects and priorities across different international time zones throughout the calendar year.
About You
- 1-3 years of professional experience, preferably in a student-facing role (e.g., campus recruiting, career services, university admissions) or a client-facing role in financial services (e.g., investor relations, client services)
- Motivated self-starter who can handle competing priorities
- Organized with meticulous attention to detail and strong administrative skills
- Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, candidates, and external partners
- Comfortable managing ambiguous deadlines and ongoing, long-term projects
- Approachable and humble attitude about what you do and don’t know; not afraid to ask for help when needed
- Possesses a natural inclination for diving deep into unfamiliar topics, coupled with a genuine passion for learning
- Thrives on relationship-building, eagerly engaging with internal colleagues and external partners as a key aspect of the role
- Curious about the operations of the firm, recruiting, and how campus strategy fits into the bigger picture
- Excited about domestic and global travel to coordinate and attend events
- No financial industry experience required

What We Do
Jane Street works differently. As a liquidity provider and market maker, we trade on more than 200 trading venues across 45 countries and help form the backbone of global markets. Our approach is rooted in technology and rigorous quantitative analysis, but our success is driven by our people.
Our bright, beautiful offices in the heart of New York, London, Hong Kong, and Amsterdam are open and buzzing with conversation. We come from many backgrounds and encourage travel between offices to share perspectives. Some of our best ideas come from bumping into a visiting colleague at the office coffee bar.
Markets move fast. Staying competitive as we’ve grown has required constant invention—of new trading strategies, technology, and processes. We’ve found this is easier when you hire humble, kind people. They tend to help each other, and prioritize teamwork over titles.
We invest heavily in teaching and training. There’s a library and a classroom in every office, because deepening your understanding of something is considered real work. Guest lectures, classes, and conferences round out the intellectual exchanges that happen every day.
People grow into long careers at Jane Street because there are always new and interesting problems to solve, systems to build, and theories to test. More than twenty years after our founding, it still feels like we’re just getting started.
