Job Description

EisnerAmper is seeking a EAFS Fund Accountant (Financial Reporting Staff II/Senior) to join the Fund Services practice in Mumbai. We are seeking someone who thrives in a growing environment and providing clients with exceptional services.  
EisnerAmper’s Fund Services (EFS) practice group offers fund accounting and administration services to US domestic and offshore Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Venture Capital Funds and Family offices.  EFS uses SS&C’s Geneva and Partner software to deliver timely, cutting-edge portfolio accounting, investor accounting, books and records, financial statement preparation, tax reporting and performance analysis

Process Description

The Financial Reporting Process involves preparation of financial statements for hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, real estate funds majorly based out of U.S. The financial reports include annual audited financial as well as quarterly and monthly abridged financial statements for certain clients under US GAAP (and IFRS standards in limited instances).

Responsibilities

Prepare and Review of primary financial statements in accordance with the accounting and regulatory disclosure requirements within agreed timelines.
Review of regulatory and other reports as required.
Ongoing analysis of client accounting records and escalation, where appropriate, of any potential issues identified.
Coordination with the auditors, U.S. team and/or client for resolving client/audit queries.
Maintain active communication with clients and auditors to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and lead change efforts effectively.
Collaborate to manage and plan multiple clients/deliverables and competing priorities.

Basic qualifications for the opportunity

Master’s degree in accounting or equivalent field
CA or CPA or MBA (in finance)
2-5 years of financial reporting experience
Experience with financial services clients, such as private equity and venture capital funds, hedge funds and funds of funds.
Understanding of financial and regulatory reporting requirements
MS Excel
Good knowledge in US GAAP / IFRS
Experience in working on Financial statements and maintaining the same
