E‑Coat (Electrocoating) is a widely used technology globally, both in the automotive industry and across the main General Industrial (GI) segments where Sherwin‑Williams intends to grow in the coming years.
To support this strategy, Sherwin‑Williams is introducing a next‑generation E‑Coat product platform in Europe, designed to address both different market segments and the specific needs of various geographic regions.
The role we are seeking is the E-coat Business Development Manager responsible for developing E‑Coat business opportunities across the region. This position will lead and drive the commercial development of the E‑Coat projects through the following key activities.
Responsibilities- Contribute to developing and executing a strategic plan in line with management objectives, with a strong focus on profitability.
- Support identifying and planning the resources required to support execution of the plan.
- Manage a country‑by‑country customer opportunity pipeline, in alignment with Country Managers, Business Managers, and Segment Managers.
- Identify specific needs related to technical documentation, marketing materials, and commercial communication.
- Ensure that all required resources are available on time and within the cost assumptions defined in the plan.
- Lead execution of the plan by coordinating commercial activities together with technical, laboratory, and suppliers (if needed), ensuring that P&L targets are met.
- Help defining priorities for R&D activities and Technical Service support.
- Define and implement pricing strategies aligned with company targets.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the coatings industry.
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or commercial roles.
- Experience leading growth or customer development projects with measurable results.
- Experience in navigating complex working environments, including cross‑functional collaboration.
- University degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Italian/English,
- Ability to operate effectively in a multinational, multicultural, matrix organization with ambitious growth objectives.
