Team / division overview
DWS Technology is responsible for partnering with our business units to devise and implement our technology strategy. We maintain and support existing platforms and build and integrate new technologies to keep our business efficient and competitive. We have a global team of experts and collaborate with wider technology teams and vendors.
We are interviewing professionals for a Senior Technology Analyst role within DWS Technology to join our Application Portfolio Management Team to support an exciting Digital Investment Platform partnership.
Role Details
As a Senior Technology Analyst, you will:

Own an application platform that services internal and external clients
-
Manage application life-cycle, including access management, security, disaster recovery, day-to-day support and business workflow management
-
Perform business analysis and solution design for new business requirements
-
Create and maintain knowledge articles and documentation for the transition and migration activities
-
Oversee the change activities on the platform
-
Perform IT Governance in line with company policies and regulations
-
Interact with technology, business and third party vendors to ensure the platform is running smoothly
We are looking for:
Skills and Experience You’ll Need:
-
Previous experience in a business aligned IT department of a financial institution
-
Enterprise technology knowledge and experience (e.g. application architecture, infrastructure, data transfer methods (SFTP), application and database technologies.)
-
Project management and delivery experience in a large global organisation with exposure to external vendors and service providers
-
Good understanding of risk frameworks, control environments and application governance.
-
Experience with software development lifecycle (e.g. Agile, Waterfall)
-
Scripting experience in Python, PowerShell and similar scripting tools
-
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
Skills and Experience That Will Help You Excel:
-
Working knowledge of one or more of the following: .NET, SQL Server, Oracle, Web technologies, Apple app development and cloud technologies (Azure or Google Cloud), Call centre systems

End user environment experience (access methods, hardware, end user support)
-
Higher education in Finance or a similar field
-
Familiarity with Finance and specifically Asset Management industry, retail and wholesale investment platforms

Positive attitude and a team player
-
Proactive and ability to work independently
-
Delivery focused attitude
-
German language skills
-
Ability to commute to Luxembourg
