We are looking for a Due Diligence Specialist to join our Underwriting team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing public records of businesses and owners for potential deals and noting accordingly.   

Work Hours: Monday–Friday | 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

This role requires in-person attendance

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct due diligence by reviewing public records and proprietary databases, including U.S. federal court records, LexisNexis, and other research tools, to verify information related to businesses and their owners.
• Analyze available information to identify potential fraud, misrepresentations, inconsistencies, or other risk indicators.
• Compile and summarize research findings to provide underwriters with accurate, relevant information to support funding decisions.
• Document significant findings, potential concerns, and other relevant information in Salesforce to ensure accurate recordkeeping and facilitate the underwriting process.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of ownership information, legal entities, and other relevant business details.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned that are reasonably related to the position.

Experience/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• C1 proficiency in both written and spoken English.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma mandatory.
• One (1) or more years of related experience.
• Strong analytical, research, and investigative skills are a must.
• Experience conducting legal research at a law firm is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with databases, data search, social media searches, Google searches, and other methods of information gathering.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong and highly professional work ethic.
