Drivers Wanted!

We are looking for contractors to work as Inter-Regional Relocation Drivers supporting our team based in Hamilton.

The role

As an Inter-Regional Relocation Driver, you will contribute to our reputation by ensuring the fluid movement of fleet around the North Island to meet customer demand.  Under the direction of the Branch Manager, you will adhere to all Avis Budget Group policies, procedures, and protocols to deliver rentable vehicles to the required locations.

Key responsibilities:

• Safely drive our rental vehicles in accordance with the New Zealand transport rules and regulations between our branches within the North Island. 

• Conduct final inspection of vehicles to ensure readiness for customer rental and ensure you have the requisite paperwork required.

• Communicate to the wider team regarding car availability and vehicle mechanical problems and any other damage.

Your skills & experience

• Full drivers’ licence with ability to safely drive our vehicles between locations.

• Good interpersonal skills that will allow you to build effective professional relationships with people at all levels.

• Sense of pride and ownership in your role to work autonomously and unsupervised.

• A can-do approach to work collaboratively with a team-oriented approach.

• Demonstrates ability to exercise sound judgement, problem solve and show initiative.

• An eye for detail to ensure our vehicles are in great condition and ready for our customers.

• Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment.
