Job Description

We are currently managing the capital works programme of works for a large investor developer and are seeking a skilled client side construction project manager to lead the delivery of these works across the ACT.

• Experience delivering construction focused capital projects and navigating technical, commercial and contractual matters.
• The ability to develop, manage and deliver a pipeline of complex projects.
• Strong capability across the full project lifecycle including design management, procurement and construction delivery
• Solid understanding of Australian Standard consultancy and construction contracts, standards and codes
• Demonstrated ability to run projects with minimal oversight
• Monitor schedules and follow up to ensure timely progression
• Review consultant submissions and technical documentation

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field (desirable)
  • A collaborative, solutions focused mindset with the confidence to advise, negotiate and influence at senior levels.
  • Ability to mentor less experienced project managers
  • The ability to deliver complex projects while balancing risk, timelines, cost and stakeholder expectations.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field (desirable)
  • Demonstrated, significant working experience as Project Manager of the end-to-end project management including all phases from scope, design, construction with a focus building infrastructure.
  • MS Office suite, including MS project
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills
