Passaic County Community College is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Staff Member for the Dream Scholar Program. This position supports student success by offering administrative and logistical assistance in coordination with the Director of the Honors Learning Community. The Staff Member plays a critical role in organizing experiential learning opportunities, maintaining program records, and facilitating effective communication among participants. This position reports directly to the Assistant Dean of Career & Professional Readiness.
This is a part-time, hourly position.
Example of Duties:
- Assist with scheduling meetings, student workshops, activities, and experiential learning events.
- Maintain calendars, filing systems, digital records, and prepare program materials and reports.
- Support logistics for guest speakers, student showcases, community site visits, and special events.
- Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff to support daily program operations.
- Help coordinate documentation and communication tasks using online tools and platforms.
Qualifications:
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Current enrollment at Passaic County Community College and completion of at least one full semester.
- Proficiency in digital communication, including email, online platforms, and social media.
The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The minimum hourly rate for this position is $15.92.
